About the Instructor:

 

Clyde Glandon, D.Min., LPC is an Episcopal clergyman and a Diplomate of the

American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He has been the Director of the

Center for Counseling and Education in Tulsa since 1994. He is an OK LPC

and LPC Supervisor. In addition to pastoral counseling and psychotherapy, Dr. Glandon

has offered spiritual direction since 1981 and leading men’s groups, clergy self

care groups, and therapist self care groups since 1988.


Description:

The purpose of this seminar is to present a brief introduction to: psychospiritual

counseling theory; personal practice; and ethical theory and practice in this type of

counseling.

 

Goals:

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. be familiar with basic applications of this mode in one’s personal emotional history
  2. make correlations between a school of psychotherapy and Judeo-Christian spirituality
  3. identify specific psychotherapeutic techniques in integrative healing
  4. have greater mastery of ethical dimensions of the integration of spirituality in counseling

 

Program Format:

Didactic instruction, focus questions, shared experience, experiential exercises, and handouts.

 

Clock hours:

Six Hours (6 hours)

     (potential 8 hours, subject to advance homestudy/reading approval

     by LPC Board)
